A knuckle too many

I was browsing A List Apart’s store and it occurred to me that their XHTML Fist tee has five knuckles.

No offense to Marilyn Monroe or folks with extra digits, but what is the meaning of this?

There must be some cool explanation behind it that I’m not getting.

Any ideas?

By the way, all of the tees are sold out, except for Redesign/Realign.

Since I was planning on geeking out my wardrobe anyway, I went over to Agency Fusion’s Make My Logo Bigger Cream shop. They still stock those cool trucker caps, mugs and ohwhythehellnot, boxer shorts.

Maybe I’ll get a trucker cap.

Web 2.OH, YEAHH!!

The Web 2.0 world is skunk drunk on its own Kool-Aid, wrote Steve Rubel in October 2007.

Then Mule Design went and made a T-shirt out of that statement. And technabob blogged about it. And that’s how I found it.

You, sirs, are awesome.

In case you were wondering.

Or missed the animated banner nestled in the blindspot at the top right corner of my page.

I’m rooting for Phlowtron, I Heart KL and KL Undercover.

See you at urbanscapes.

adidas Training 72

(Image from EUkicks)

I saw a pair of adidas Training 72 at the adidas Originals store in KLCC, a few days ago.

But, dumbass me, I didn’t buy them on the spot, just like I did when I saw my adidas CG Tour.

Now, they don’t have my size anymore. =(

Moral of the story: When it comes to vintage sneakers, always buy first, and ask questions later!

Meanwhile, there’s always the adidas Skateboarding Spring/Summer collection to pine about…

Quiksilver Thinks Green!

Quiksilver and Roxy celebrate Earth Day tomorrow with a new campaign called Quiksilver Thinks Green, as an effort to reduce its own impact on the environment.

They’re launching a range of products using organic cotton and a range of bags and backpacks in Q-Tec, an environmentally- friendly coating replacing the traditional PVC coating; it contains no PVC, no dioxins, no heavy metals and has a higher water resistance and is more durable than traditional PVCs.

Their shops are also going to provide recycled paper shop bags made from pine.

Awesome, right? I’m always up for brands embracing best practices, especially when it comes to the environment.

So, what’s next? Hemp tees? Biodegradable surfboards?

Fuck Helvetica

Alexander Kaiser doesn’t hate Helvetica.

Neither do I. But I like the thought behind it.

So, buy a tee and wear it to your next review with your Creative Director. Or download Fuck Helvetica wallpaper and set it as your Art Director’s desktop background.
