Web 2.OH, YEAHH!!

The Web 2.0 world is skunk drunk on its own Kool-Aid, wrote Steve Rubel in October 2007.

Then Mule Design went and made a T-shirt out of that statement. And technabob blogged about it. And that’s how I found it.

You, sirs, are awesome.

adidas Training 72

(Image from EUkicks)

I saw a pair of adidas Training 72 at the adidas Originals store in KLCC, a few days ago.

But, dumbass me, I didn’t buy them on the spot, just like I did when I saw my adidas CG Tour.

Now, they don’t have my size anymore. =(

Moral of the story: When it comes to vintage sneakers, always buy first, and ask questions later!

Meanwhile, there’s always the adidas Skateboarding Spring/Summer collection to pine about…

Quiksilver Thinks Green!

Quiksilver and Roxy celebrate Earth Day tomorrow with a new campaign called Quiksilver Thinks Green, as an effort to reduce its own impact on the environment.

They’re launching a range of products using organic cotton and a range of bags and backpacks in Q-Tec, an environmentally- friendly coating replacing the traditional PVC coating; it contains no PVC, no dioxins, no heavy metals and has a higher water resistance and is more durable than traditional PVCs.

Their shops are also going to provide recycled paper shop bags made from pine.

Awesome, right? I’m always up for brands embracing best practices, especially when it comes to the environment.

So, what’s next? Hemp tees? Biodegradable surfboards?

Boba Fett – Mitch

2970.jpg

addict just launched an exclusive custom tee project called ‘Icons Series – illustrations by Mitch’.

It’s a one-off set of boxed tees by Mitch, featuring not one, not two but woohoo three of the most iconic characters from the original Star Wars Trilogy; Boba Fett, Sandtrooper and Biker Scout.

So, theoretically, at £35 pounds a pop (including 17.5% value-added tax) a single tee will cost around RM230. If I were to buy all three of them, it would cost me around RM690 in total.

Man, this is so tempting.

AirMail!

airmail.jpg

About half a minute into the MacBook Air ad, I was telling Mooky that if I ever bought one, I’d carry it around in a plain manila envelope and bring it to meetings just to make clients jealous.

What I didn’t realize at the time was that Jona Bechtolt and Claire L. Evans had already gone ahead and made AirMail, a laptop sleeve handmade out of durable upholstery-grade vinyl, and lined with fuzzy, soft fleece.

Genius. It’s not sliced bread, but I sure as hell would want one if I had my own MacBook Air.

You can pre-order AirMail now for only $29.95. =)
