Blogs that Rock: Pop Upon Magazine

I’m kicking off a new series of posts about relatively non-mainstream blogs that I like to visit.

You’ll be able to search and view more posts on this topic in my Blogs category, but give me a week or two to get the show on the road, aite?

Pop upon Magazine is run by a dude called Hector Jarquin.

It’s one of the new places that I check out after doing my rounds at Smashing Magazine, TechCrunch, Mashable etc.

Yes, there are a gajillion dedicated web design, technology and social media blogs out there, but it’s blogs like this that fill in the blanks for me.

Blogs like Pop Upon Magazine appeal to me because they talk about the little things like designing usable footers on websites or finding out what your site looks like on an iPhone. It’s a great ‘secondary’ resource, if you like, because when something is up on the major blogs, you’ll start seeing the same old shit everywhere else.

That’s what makes blogs like Pop Upon Magazine a little more individual.

Do you have any ‘secondary’ resources of your own?

Care to share? =P
